Lisa Brinkman - PromptCare

From my perspective, the Clarus App more than pays for itself. Our savings are $7,000-10,000 a year which is amazing by just getting an app. It’s been very beneficial.

I’m with PromptCare and we focus on home infusion. We do a lot of IVIG products, biologics, we go to the patient’s home and we really focus on infusing them in their own home. When a hemophilia patients calls in with a bleed, we have to be there within two hours. The Clarus App really helps us with that. The calls comes in and then we get the call to the nurse and then the nurse is on the road to see that patient.

We use Clarus for our on-call system which is really helpful. We go on-call around 5-5:30 am and the calls start going on to the Clarus App and then it rolls into our triage nurse and then she sends that to the nurse or pharmacist that needs to take care of the call. So it’s a good system to catch all of our calls that come in after-hours.

We choose Clarus because of the accessibility and the easy-to-use system. It’s very easy to train someone on this system. You can go right into it and take off with very little training. Clarus has really helps us improve our productivity. We have eliminated a whole layer of our on-call system, so it’s been very helpful in managing the system and reducing the number of people that have to be on-call.

At PromptCare, we really focus on work-life balance. I think it’s very important for our nurses to not get burnt out. It really does cut down on them being on-call all the time, being connected to their phone, or looking at their phone all the time wondering if they missed a call. I have the app alert me with a phone call and text me, so you can get the notifications in different ways.

From my perspective, the Clarus App more than pays for itself. Our savings are $7,000-10,000 a year which is amazing by just getting an app. It’s been very beneficial.
